The Home Inspection profession has been in existence since the early 1970’s, although the understanding of the benefits and scope has not been fully understood by many.

I entered into the Home Inspection profession in 2001 as a career change, having returned to Ontario from Alberta, where I worked in the oil and gas marketplace, in a territory management role marketing technical solution based products before expanding into a business development role with a large corporation over the span of 25 years.

I have worked with a number of building contractors and done a variety of home renovations over the course of the past 4 years. In addition, I have completed courses provided under the OAHI membership standards and requirements and continue to update myself and keep pace with the dynamic changes developing annually.

The Home Inspection process that I follow is presented to educate, inform and provide you with a good understanding of the condition of your potential new home as seen by an impartial third party, with the skill set to look for potential deficiencies and provide you with an itemized reporting format to work with as you take ownership. Five key areas are covered, ROOF, FOUNDATION, PLUMBING, HEATING, ELECTRICAL.

A full written report is provided complete with photos and supplementary text that relates to the structure, utilities and appliances noted, specific to your new home.
